Our client is seeking a Project Quality Coordinator to join their Christchurch manufacturing site during an exciting phase of growth and expansion.
The Christchurch site is currently delivering a $50 million capital expansion programme focused on increasing UHT milk production capacity and supporting high-protein milk exports to China and Asia Pacific markets. This multi-year investment is creating significant demand for quality, compliance and project delivery professionals with the experience to deliver at pace.
Reporting to the Site Quality Manager, this is an integral role within the Site Quality Team. You will support food safety, regulatory, compliance, project quality, and product commercialisation activities across the site throughout the execution of major project plans.

What You'll Be Doing
Project Quality Delivery
  • Deliver all project quality activities on time, within budget, and to scope
  • Assist in the execution of the site's capital and project quality plan
  • Support project validations and commercialisation activities
  • Support the development of project-related amendments to food safety, RMP, and prerequisite programmes
  • Execute the set-up and commercialisation of products in line with the site project plan
Operational Effectiveness & Compliance
  • Coordinate change management certification approvals and system upgrades for site projects
  • Provide support for MPI/AQ validations, evaluations, and approvals for changes
  • Manage applications and amendments for Site RMPs
  • Develop and coordinate validation protocols and plans
  • Support production, laboratory, planning and logistics teams with validation trial sampling and testing
  • Lead all project quality and compliance aspects to meet customer and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct project internal audits, site and plant walks to ensure GMP standards are met
  • Maintain compliance with customer and regulatory standards, including third-party audits
What We're Looking For
  • Relevant degree in Science, Food Technology or related discipline
  • Advanced HACCP qualification / Internal Auditor qualification
  • Minimum five years of relevant working experience, preferably in the dairy industry
  • Proven experience with implementation and maintenance of food safety and quality management systems in food manufacturing
  • Demonstrated understanding of food safety and quality principles and food production processes
  • Working understanding of food regulation, particularly dairy-specific regulatory frameworks (e.g. MPI/RMP/MPI audit requirements
  • Experience with validation protocol development, trial management, and regulatory approval
  • Familiarity with change management certification processes for site projects and product databases
What's On Offer
  • Competitive remuneration package with flexible working arrangements
  • The opportunity to play a central role in a high-profile capital expansion programme with significant export market impact
  • Exposure to the full lifecycle of quality compliance on major food manufacturing projects — from change management certification through to product commercialisation
  • A supportive and experienced quality team environment at one of New Zealand's most recognised dairy brands
  • Long-term career pathways in a company that employs over 230 people at the Christchurch site

This is a fixed-term contract with the scale of work expected to extend beyond the initial engagement window. If you're a quality professional with dairy or high-care food manufacturing experience who is ready to make an impact on a major capital expansion programme, we'd love to hear from you.
