This is a rare chance to deliver a major capital expansion at one of our clients New Zealand’s flagship dairy facilities. As Project Manager, you will report to the Manager of Projects and take full responsibility for contracts, procurement, design, construction, and commissioning of their new production lines. You will lead delivery while ensuring scope, schedule and budget targets are met, mitigate risks, facilitate collaboration between contractors and internal stakeholders, and maintain operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of building and process contracts for the new production lines.
- Coordinate projects from concept and detailed design, through factory testing, installation, and commissioning.
- Maintain robust communication across project, operations, and executive teams.
- Identify and mitigate project risks early to avoid business interruption.
- Prepare scope of work documents, manage tender processes, contract execution, and project reporting.
- Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance at all stages.
- 5+ years of project management experience in food manufacturing, industrial, or process plant environments.
- Degree in Engineering (Washington Accord or equivalent), plus professional body registration/certification.
- Track record delivering multi-million-dollar capital projects from design to completion.
- Skills in contract management, procurement, commissioning, and leading cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to foresee and navigate complex project challenges.
- Expertise in hygienic and process safety design in manufacturing plants.
