Switched On Group is seeking a talented individual to join our Digital Team in Christchurch, where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our ambitious digital transformation and business growth.

About Us
Switched On Group (Kā te Rama Switched On Group) is a leading construction and maintenance company, proudly whānau and iwi-owned, with a 40-year history and a national presence across New Zealand. We partner with iwi such as Ngāti Toa Rangatira and are committed to supplier diversity and supporting Māori and Pasifika businesses. Our services include commercial fit-outs, new builds, refurbishments, insurance work, and facilities management, delivered through dedicated teams and a network of master tradespeople nationwide.

The Role
As a Data Business Systems Analyst, you will be at the heart of our digital journey, bridging the gap between business operations, data analysis, and digital solutions. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to gather, validate, and translate business needs into robust technical, functional, and data requirements. Your work will support the implementation of innovative digital solutions—particularly around our Salesforce-based ERP (Rama), Procore, and other key platforms—ensuring they align with our Digital Roadmap and drive measurable business improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Analysis: Engage with business stakeholders to capture, validate, and document business, functional, and data requirements.
  • Solution Design & Implementation: Translate business needs into actionable solutions, supporting the SDLC process and ensuring alignment with our Digital Roadmap.
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Collect, profile, clean, transform, and validate data from multiple sources. Analyse data to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Reporting & Dashboards: Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards using BI tools like Tableau and Salesforce CRM Analytics.
  • Data Governance: Contribute to data quality, governance, and documentation, ensuring compliance with best practices and organisational standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business units, operational teams, and external vendors, communicating complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend opportunities for process efficiency, automation, and cost reduction.
  • Solution Support: providing support for the solutions as needed.
Key Projects & Focus
You’ll be part of a dedicated squad supporting the Switched On Building Solutions (SOBS) digital program, working on critical projects including:
  • Procore Implementation: Supporting the rollout of this leading construction management platform.
  • Salesforce CRM Build: Configuring and building out CRM solutions for SOBS, including product and asset data structures.
  • Company Onboarding & Trade Induction: Adapting existing Salesforce solutions to meet SOBS-specific needs.
  • Facilities Management & Tendering: Supporting the development of work order logging, tracking, and integration with Salesforce.
Who We’re Looking For
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in Business/Systems/Functional Analysis, Data Analysis, or similar roles.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in data extraction, transformation, and analysis (Excel, SQL/TSQL), and experience with BI tools (Tableau, Salesforce CRM Analytics).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Desirable: Experience in Salesforce environments, data governance, process improvement, and change management.
  • Personal Attributes: Analytical, proactive, adaptable, and collaborative. Passionate about delivering quality outcomes and enhancing environments for everyday New Zealanders.
Why Join Us?
  • Exciting Build Phase: Be part of a new era of digital transformation and business growth.
  • Inclusive Culture: Work in a whānau and iwi-owned business with a strong commitment to wellbeing, collaboration, and positive impact in our communities.
  • Career Development: Opportunities to grow within a newly structured Digital Team and contribute to strategic projects.
  • Competitive Package: Attractive salary (negotiated with preferred candidate based on experience), Southern Cross health insurance, and other benefits.
