What you'll be doing:
- Taking ownership of 1st and 2nd line customer support - responding to calls and emails, and ensuring issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
- Supporting software installations and assisting with SQL, Windows Server, and Windows Desktop environments.
- Delivering remote technical and system support, including database maintenance.
- Tracking, documenting, and following up support cases to make sure customers receive continuity of service.
- Contributing to knowledge base resources to improve support tools and processes.
- Assisting in the planning and implementation of internal IT projects, including CRM, infrastructure, and software system improvements.
- 2+ years' experience in customer support or service delivery within a technical, software, or scientific industry (hardware/software mix ideal).
- Solid skills in troubleshooting, technical problem-solving, and following structured processes.
- Strong communication skills - you can break down complex technical issues and build positive relationships with customers at all levels.
- Hands-on skills with SQL databases, Windows environments, networking, and software implementation.
- A self-motivated mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Proven ability to write and follow clear technical documentation.
