The role
Based in either Queenstown or Christchurch your role will form part of a highly regarded team of Acoustic Engineers and Technical Specialists. The project portfolio includes interesting and technically challenging work and the team have a history of working on a wide variety of local landmark projects across Canterbury and the wider New Zealand regions. This opportunity will allow you to work broadly, taking ownership of the full project life cycle.
You will engage your acoustic engineering expertise on both environmental projects (such as land rezoning, vibration analysis etc) as well as shaping the design and build of new commercial buildings, public buildings, hospitals, schools etc and across a variety of industry sectors. You will be working with a range of internal and external stakeholders and clients. You will be working with great autonomy but with the tools and support of highly experienced engineers to ensure your continued success and development in your engineering career pathway.
About you
You will be an intermediate or senior level Acoustic Engineer with an interest in continuing to develop your engineering and project delivery expertise. You will be someone who embraces the development opportunities that come from working across a broad spectrum of industry sectors and stages of the project lifecycle. You will have solid client management skills and the ability to collaborate with a broad range of technical professionals. You will require.
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant science field.
- Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in acoustic engineering gained in a consulting environment.
- Able to demonstrate proven experience & success in delivering quality acoustic engineering solutions and client relationship management.
- Sound knowledge of relevant New Zealand codes and standards
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with a broad range of team members and clients.
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly skilled and experienced with technical/engineering report writing.
